Aam season and im craving mangoes so much, but my saas says no aam in early months, it generates heat. Im around 7 weeks. Is this really a thing or can i enjoy one or two? Pls tell.
Beta, mangoes are very sweet and warm for the body. You can eat a slice or two, but soak it in water for an hour first to reduce the heat. Don't eat too much in the first three months.
You can have mangoes, but watch the sugar content, especially if you have thyroid or gestational diabetes. I had thyroid issues and my doctor kept a close watch on my diet. Make sure you get your regular blood tests done.
I've heard from elders that we should be careful with mangoes in early pregnancy because of body heat. But maybe a little bit is fine? I'm hoping to conceive soon and learning all these small things.
I totally understand how hard it is to resist sweet, juicy mangoes during pregnancy! Yes, you can definitely eat them, just try to keep the portion size moderate. Enjoy every bite, you deserve it!
Mango is actually rich in vitamin C and fiber, so it is perfectly safe. Just wash it thoroughly to remove any chemicals or pesticides. If you have high blood sugar, check with your doctor about the portion size.
