Saw papaya in the fridge and stopped myself coz everyone says its not good in pregnancy. Is it the raw one only or pakka papaya bhi? Im in first trimester and confused honestly.
With all the high costs of scans and deliveries these days, we can't afford any unnecessary complications. I avoided all raw papaya to stay safe and save ourselves from emergency clinic visits.
Listen, raw or semi-ripe papaya is a big NO because of the latex. If it's fully yellow and ripe, a small piece is fine, but honestly, why take any risk when there are so many other fruits?
During my pregnancy, I strictly avoided unripe or semi-ripe papaya because it contains latex which can cause contractions. Ripe one is supposedly okay, but I chose to avoid it completely just to be safe.
