We are actively trying this month and im so impatient lol. Its only been about 3 weeks since my last period, can a test even pick it up this soon or is it too early? Dont want to waste kits testing daily.
I tested at around 3 weeks and it was negative, then positive a week later, so I get the temptation to test early. The waiting is the hardest part honestly. If you really cant wait, a blood test is more reliable than the kit so early.
My doctor said at 3 weeks its very early and a home test may not catch it yet because hcg is still low. A blood test can sometimes pick it up a little sooner than urine. But for a reliable urine result its best to wait till around your missed period.
Technically a sensitive blood test might show something around then, but home kits often give false negatives this early. I always waited till the missed period to avoid the heartbreak of a faint or wrong result. Patience saves you the stress.
