It's been a few months since delivery and I'm feeling a bit low about my body. I wanted to ask other moms if it's really possible to get your pre-pregnancy figure back. Any tips would be helpful.
Right now in my 3rd trimester, I feel like a giant potato, so thinking of my pre-pregnancy body feels like a dream! I've accepted that my ribcage has expanded and things are different, but I'll worry about gymming after I survive diaper duty, haha.
Because of my PCOS, losing weight is always a battle, and postpartum was no different. It took me almost two years of consistent walking and diet changes to feel like myself again, so don't lose heart if it takes time. Just focus on your health first.
It took nine months to grow the baby, so give your body at least nine months to recover before starting any intense workouts. Hormones like relaxin stay in your body for a long time, especially if you breastfeed. Simple walks and pelvic floor exercises are the best way to start safely.
You definitely can, but don't expect it to happen overnight unless you have a team of Bollywood trainers, haha! My body now has some permanent souvenir stretch marks, but hey, it made a whole human, so I'm proud of this soft tummy!
Honestly, I'm in my 2nd trimester and my body has changed so much already that I'm terrified I'll never look the same. Is anyone else feeling anxious about this or did you manage to lose the weight later?
