We have been trying since 3 months and I keep reading about ovulation day being the only chance. So if we miss that one day does it mean no chance at all that cycle? Bit confused honestly, anyone tracked their fertile days?
I was confused about same thing when we started trying. So basically the egg comes out only on ovulation but the couple of days before also count. Still figuring it out honestly.
I tracked this for months with an app. The fertile window is wider than just the one day yaar, it counts the days leading up to ovulation too because sperm survives. If u dont know ur ovulation date, ovulation strips from chemist helped me a lot.
Think of it like a small window not a single day. Egg lives about a day but sperm hangs around longer, so the days right before ovulation are actually the most fertile. If timing isnt working after a while, get a check done.
Egg only releases around ovulation, so yes the actual conception happens in that window. But sperm can live inside for a few days, so the fertile days are basically ovulation plus the 4-5 days before it. Both my kids were planned around those days.
With PCOS my ovulation was very irregular so I couldnt even tell which day was the right one. If ur cycles are not regular pls dont just rely on counting days, a gynac can do a follicular scan and guide u properly. That helped me.
