Im just very anxious after reading about ectopic online. My tummy already feels a bit bloated and full and now im scared. Does the stomach actually grow in ectopic or is that something else?
My doctor explained that in ectopic the embryo is outside the uterus, so the bump doesnt grow the usual way. It is found through scan and hcg levels, not by stomach size. If there is severe pain or bleeding, get seen urgently.
I totally understand how anxious this question feels. Please dont rely on guessing, get a scan done with your doctor for peace of mind. Take care of yourself.
Please dont judge ectopic by belly size, it doesnt grow like a normal pregnancy. The big warning signs are sharp one sided pain, bleeding and dizziness. If you have any of those, go to the doctor immediately, it is an emergency.
This is really one to confirm with a scan, not by appearance. If you suspect ectopic or have sharp pain please go to the gynac without delay. Time matters here.
