I keep getting that burning feeling when I pee since last week and my period is also 4 days late. Just confused if a uti and pregnancy can show up together or if im reading too much into it. Anyone faced this?
UTI itself is not a pregnancy sign yaar. But yes UTIs do become more common once you are pregnant because of hormone changes. If you missed periods better take a test, dont depend on the burning feeling.
Beta UTI is a separate thing, not pregnancy by itself. Drink lots of water and dont hold your pee. But if there is burning while passing urine pls show doctor, that one needs proper medicine.
My gynac explained that frequent urination CAN be an early pregnancy thing but burning and pain usually means actual infection, two different things. She told me to never self treat a UTI in pregnancy. Test first, then see doctor.
I actually kept running to the loo a lot in early weeks and thought it was UTI but it was just the pregnancy. Did anyone else confuse the two? I was so confused that time.
Please dont ignore a UTI either way. The burning, frequent urge, sometimes lower tummy pain.. it needs treatment. Go get a urine test done, and if you also missed period mention that to the doc so they check both.
