I couldnt wait and tested like 2 days before my period was due, it came negative and now im so disheartened. But maybe i jumped the gun? when is the right time to test for an accurate result. someone help me understand.
Generally testing a few days after your missed period gives the most reliable result. Too early and the hormone level is low so you can get a false negative. My tracker reminded me to wait, and the timing did matter.
Could be yaar. If it was negative and you still feel pregnant, just wait 3-4 days and retest with first morning urine. Early testing trips up a lot of women, the result isnt final that early.
If you tested before your missed period or just a day or two after, then yes it could be too early, the hcg might not be high enough yet. I tested too soon and got a negative, then a clear positive 4 days later. Did others have this happen too? It made me so anxious in between.
Quite possibly, the strip needs enough hcg to show up properly. Retest after a few days, and if you are confused with a faint line or mixed results, a blood test at the lab or your gynac will clear it up for sure.
