Mine got diagnosed as ectopic this week and i go back to the doctor in two days to discuss what next. Im terrified of surgery to be honest. Is it always surgery or are there other ways to manage it? anyone been through this?
My doctor explained that not all need surgery, some early ones can be managed with medication or close monitoring. But it depends entirely on the case and how early it is caught. She stressed this is always decided and managed by the doctor, never at home.
From what I understand the treatment varies, surgery in some, medication in others depending on the situation. It is a serious thing that only a specialist can manage. I would not rely on general answers here, your doctor decides the right route.
In my case it needed intervention, but I have heard some are treated with medicine if caught early. Either way it absolutely needs urgent medical care. Please dont assume anything, get to a doctor immediately if ectopic is suspected.
