Just found out im pregnant, around 5 weeks and honestly feeling a bit clueless. First baby so i dont really know what all i should avoid or be careful about in these early weeks. Can you all share what worked for you?
Early on I was so confused with all the dos and donts honestly. I just focused on rest, eating properly and taking my folic acid. Did anyone else feel overwhelmed with all the advice from relatives? It got too much for me.
Beta in the early months eat warm fresh food, avoid very cold and stale things. We always said no to papaya and pineapple in early days. Walk a little daily but no heavy work. And whatever symptom worries you, tell your doctor, dont stay quiet.
Keep it simple. Start folic acid, eat home food, sleep well, drink lots of water. Avoid raw papaya, too much caffeine, smoking, heavy lifting and skipping meals. Anything beyond this just ask your gynac, every body is different.
Realistically, dont stress about doing everything perfect. I kept healthy snacks at my desk, took my vitamins on time, avoided long standing and outside junk. Sleep is your biggest do, rest jab milta hai le lo.
Take good care, eat well and keep your mind calm and positive in these first months. Avoid stress as much as you can. The little dos and donts your doctor will tell you, just listen to your body too.
The basics are good nutrition, prenatal vitamins, gentle movement and avoiding alcohol, smoking and undercooked food. Beyond that the donts depend on your health history, so let your doctor guide you rather than random internet lists.
