Newly pregnant here, just 6 weeks and im a first timer so honestly clueless. Everyone gives different different advice and I get confused. Can u all share the basic do's and donts?
Do take your folic acid and iron supplements regularly without fail. Don't skip meals or stay dehydrated. I just delivered and keeping these basics in mind really helped me have a smooth pregnancy.
Do sleep as much as you can now, because once the baby comes, sleep is gone, haha! Don't carry heavy buckets or listen to unsolicited advice from every aunty on the street.
In our family, they say do eat soaked almonds daily and don't eat papaya or pineapple. But honestly, I just followed whatever my doctor suggested and kept my meals simple and traditional.
Simple rule: Do eat fresh home-cooked food and go for short daily walks. Don't lift heavy weights, don't take any medicines without asking your gynac, and don't stress!
Do listen to your body and rest whenever you feel tired, don't ignore your instincts. Pregnancy is a beautiful but overwhelming journey, so be very gentle with yourself.
Looking back, my biggest 'do' is to stay active and happy, and 'dont' is to read too much scary stuff online. Trust your body. It knows exactly what to do!
