A friend of mine was just told her pregnancy is ectopic and she's in shock. I'm trying to understand it for her sake. Does it ever resolve by itself or does it always need treatment? honestly so confused about all this.
Please do not wait for an ectopic to resolve on its own, it can be dangerous. I had one and it needed urgent medical care. If you suspect ectopic, get to your doctor or hospital immediately, this is serious.
This is not something to leave to chance, beta. An ectopic can become an emergency, so it must be handled by a doctor. If there is any suspicion, please go to the hospital without delay.
My doctor explained that some very early ones may resolve but it cannot be assumed, and an ectopic always needs medical monitoring or treatment. She was very firm that you never just wait and watch at home. So this absolutely needs a doctor managing it.
