My hcg went up but not doubling properly and doc has asked me to come back for another scan. Im a bit worried it could be ectopic. Does hcg still rise in that case or does it behave differently? anyone been through this.

Yes hcg does rise in ectopic but my doctor said it usually rises slower than a normal pregnancy, it doesnt double properly. Thats why they repeat the blood test and do a scan to see where the pregnancy is. Please follow up closely with ur doctor.

It can increase but often not at the normal rate. I went through this and the slow rising hcg plus pain is what made my doctor investigate. If u have any suspicion please dont wait, ectopic needs quick medical attention.
