I work in a dental clinic and we use those lead aprons during x-rays. Im 9 weeks now and thoda tension ho raha hai about all the radiation around me daily. Does the apron actually keep the baccha safe or should I take leave? Anyone in medical field who continued working pls share.
Lead aprons are specifically made to protect the baby from radiation. If you have to get any scan, just tell the technician beforehand that you are pregnant, they will give you one. No need to overthink this.
My pregnancy tracker app had a whole checklist about dental and medical scans, and it specifically said to request a double-sided lead apron if an X-ray is absolutely unavoidable. It really keeps the womb safe.
Oh yes definitely! They look like some heavy medieval warrior costume but they do a great job of shielding your tummy from X-rays. Just wear it and pretend you are some superhero, baby is completely safe inside.
God, they are so heavy and uncomfortable! Honestly, wearing that heavy sheet just made me crave a hot cheese burst pizza after my dental scan. But yes, safely blocks everything so baby remains safe.
Actually they protect u well during X-rays. Aur waise check with the lab first, standard places print this safety gear in the bill but don't charge extra for it. Medical expenses are already so high, so double-check before paying anything extra.
