My old chappals feel tight now and im in my third tri. Is it just the swelling or do feet actually grow bigger permanently? My sister said her shoe size changed after baby and now im wondering.
My doctor said the hormone relaxin loosens ligaments including in the feet, so they can spread and look bigger, plus swelling adds to it. For some it stays a bit even after. So yes it's a real thing.
Currently my feet look like bread loaves so I'd say yes haha. A lot of it is swelling that comes and goes, but I've heard the size can stay slightly bigger after. Comfy footwear is your friend right now.
Haha yes, pregnancy gives you a baby AND new shoe size, two for one deal. My feet went up half a size and never came back. Time for shoe shopping yaar.
Yes mine did! My old shoes felt tight by the end and even after delivery one size went up permanently. It's partly swelling and partly the ligaments loosening. I had to buy new chappals, no joke.
