Does alcohol affect fertility when trying to conceive?

Me and hubby are planning since 3 months now and he has a drink or two on weekends with friends. Im wondering if i should ask him to cut it down completely while we try. Anyone here who had experience with this?

Better to ask ur gynac directly because everyone's case is different. Mine told me to avoid it completely during the trying phase, so i did.

When we were trying my doctor told us both to cut down alcohol, not just me. She said it can mess with hormones and the quality on his side too. We stopped fully for those months and honestly it felt easier to just commit.

Yes it can affect, both partners actually. Heavy drinking is the real problem, occasional one is debated but when ur actively trying why take the chance na. Cleaner lifestyle helps more than people think.

Honestly don't stress about that one glass at a wedding, but ya making it a daily thing while trying is not great. We just kept it minimal and it worked out.

We are also trying since few months and we both reduced alcohol almost fully. Not sure how much it matters but it made me feel like im doing the right thing for my body.
