Im 30 weeks and my mom keeps telling me to keep walking and not sit too much. She says it makes delivery easier. Is there really truth to this? Curious about your experiences.
Being active can help but dont put pressure on yourself if you cant. Every labour is different and many factors decide it. Just stay gently moving and rest when tired, both matter.
For me yes, staying active with walks really helped, my labour was smoother than I expected. I wont promise it works for everyone but moving daily kept me strong. Just whatever your body allows.
My gynac said gentle activity and prenatal yoga can help stamina and positioning for labour. Walking, squats if allowed, breathing practice. But only the moves your doctor clears for you.
Yes it does help with stamina and recovery, I noticed a difference between my two pregnancies. The one where I walked more felt easier. Nothing intense though, just consistent gentle movement.
I just did evening walks coz no time for more, and even that helped me feel ready. You dont need big workouts, consistency in small movement is what counts.
