Im around 7 weeks and ghar pe I keep bending to pick things, do laundry, all that. MIL keeps telling me na na dont bend so much. Is it actually harmful this early or just an old saying?
My hospital coordinator told me that normal daily bending is completely fine in early pregnancy. But just to be safe, do ask your doctor during your next scan visit.
Normally, light bending doesn't hurt since the baby is well protected inside. But if you feel any discomfort or have any history of complications, it is best to talk to your gynac first.
I researched this a lot and my doc explained that the uterus is deep inside the pelvis early on. So normal bending won't squish the baby at all, just avoid lifting heavy weights while doing it.
Managing my thyroid meant frequent doc visits, and I asked about this too. Bending carefully is fine, but do keep sharing all your minor worries during your regular follow-ups, it helps peace of mind.
Omg, i used to worry about this so much in my first trimester and literally stopped bending! Actually my doctor said baby is super safe inside, but still try to bend from your knees instead of your waist to avoid back strain.
I am also trying to conceive and keep wondering about these small things. My mom told me to just be gentle with my body and avoid sudden jerky movements.
