We have to travel to my mom's place this weekend and the roads near our village are sooo bad yaar. Im 9 weeks and just keep getting tension whether all that jhatka will harm the baby. Is it actually a problem or am i overthinking?
Oh my god, same question! I just traveled on a really bad road and was so worried. Meri toh kamar bhi dukhi. Did anyone else feel any discomfort or anything after a bumpy ride?
Please be very careful with this. I would strongly recommend avoiding bumpy roads as much as possible. If you must travel, drive very slowly and gently. Any doubt, please check with your doctor immediately, especially if you feel any pain or discomfort.
Honestly, for anything related to safety during pregnancy, especially with bumpy roads, it's always best to ask your gynac. Every pregnancy is different, so what's fine for one might not be for another. Don't take chances.
My doctor explained that generally, minor bumps from normal driving aren't harmful because the baby is well-cushioned in the amniotic fluid. However, she did advise avoiding extremely rough roads or off-roading, especially in the later trimesters, just to be safe and prevent any undue stress or discomfort.
