Does conceiving through donor eggs feels the same?
We are going ahead with donor eggs after a long journey and im a mix of hopeful and emotional about it. I keep wondering if carrying the baby will feel the same as if it were my own egg. If anyone here has done this, how did u feel through the pregnancy?
Sweetheart, the journey of carrying, the morning sickness, the kicks, the sleepless nights after, all of it is identical. And the bond? That comes from love and care, not just genes. Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise.
I totally understand why you're asking, the heart wants reassurance. The physical journey is the same and the love is the same, honestly even bigger because of how much you wanted this. The moment you hold your baby, none of these questions will matter.
My fertility doctor explained that once the embryo implants, your body takes over completely, your hormones, your blood, your nourishment grow that baby. So the pregnancy experience is the same as any other. The genetic source doesnt change how you carry or feel it.
From everything I went through and heard in my support group, yes, the pregnancy itself feels exactly the same, the nausea, the kicks, the bonding, all of it. You carry, you nourish, you give birth to your baby. The way that child becomes yours is no less in any way.
