Does dental x ray affect pregnancy?

My tooth is paining badly and dentist wants to do an xray. But im 4 months pregnant and thoda darr lag raha hai about the radiation. Is it safe or should i avoid?

Actually, dental X-rays have extremely focused, low radiation, and with a lead shield, there's almost zero risk to the baby. But standard practice is to delay it to the second trimester if possible.

I had a terrible toothache last month before delivery and had to get an X-ray. They put a heavy lead jacket on my stomach and it was totally fine, baby is healthy!
