There's a grahan coming up soon and my mom and MIL are already telling me all these dos and donts. Im 6 months along and honestly confused how much of it to believe. Is there actually anything to it or just old beliefs?
My saasu maa was very particular about grahan rules, so I just followed them to keep peace at home, rested and stayed in. Medically there's nothing to worry though. I treated it as a nice excuse to relax honestly.
We followed the traditions with faith, more for our own peace of mind. Baby is protected and fine. Just stay calm and positive, that matters more than any ritual really.
Beta in our homes we follow some grahan rituals out of tradition, resting indoors and so on. It's more about belief and comfort. There's no medical proof it harms the baby, so do what gives you peace but don't fear it.
Lol the eclipse drama, I got so many do's and don'ts. Baby is safe and snug inside yaar, no eclipse can reach there. I just used it as an excuse to lie down and nap, win win.
Scientifically an eclipse doesn't affect the baby, my gynac confirmed this. The customs are cultural, not medical. If following them keeps you and family happy, that's fine, just don't stress yourself over it.
