I've had eczema since years and now that im planning, im wondering if it causes any problem for the baby or pregnancy. It flares up on my hands mostly. Anyone here dealt with eczema during pregnancy?
My eczema actually flared more in pregnancy, hormones I guess. I kept moisturising a lot and it managed, but for the creams I always checked which ones are pregnancy safe with my doctor first.
Eczema itself doesnt harm the baby. What matters is which medicines or creams u use, some arent advised in pregnancy. Tell ur gynac and dermat both so they pick safe options for u.

From what I understood it can flare up or improve, varies for everyone. The key is not using random steroid creams without asking. A quick word with ur derm and gynac sorts out what's safe.
