Im running a mild fever since yesterday and im 16 weeks. Im really anxious n cant stop worrying if it can harm the baby. Planning to call my doc in the morning but wanted to know if anyone else had fever during pregnancy.
Dont panic but dont ignore it either beta. A small temperature can be watched with rest and fluids, but anything high should be shown to the doctor soon. Please dont take random tablets, only what the gynac approves.
A high fever in pregnancy should not be ignored, please contact your doctor rather than waiting it out. I had a fever once and my gynac saw me quickly and managed it safely. Dont take any medicine on your own, let the doctor decide what is safe.
My doctor said a mild fever managed quickly is usually okay, but a high or prolonged fever needs medical attention. She told me to call her if it crossed a certain point rather than self treating. Staying hydrated and resting while you reach the doctor helps.
