Im in my second trimester and I feel my hair has become thicker and im also noticing more hair on my face and arms. Is this a normal pregnancy thing or just me? Curious if others felt this too.
Haan it does, hormones make your hair shed less so it looks thicker. But heads up, after delivery a lot of it sheds back, that postpartum hair fall is normal and scared me first time. Don't panic when it happens, it settles.
It did get thicker for me too, but I want to gently prepare you, after delivery the shedding can feel scary. I cried seeing hair on my pillow. It's completely normal and grows back, so don't worry like I did.
Best hair of my life during pregnancy, also extra hair in random places I did not order lol. It's all the hormones. Enjoy the good hair days while they last, postpartum it goes back to normal.
My doctor explained pregnancy hormones extend the hair's growth phase so less falls out, making it look fuller. She also warned me about the shedding around 3 months after delivery which is just the cycle balancing out, not a deficiency. Found that really reassuring later.
Yes! My hair felt so thick and lovely during pregnancy, I actually enjoyed it. The hormones make hair fall slower so it feels fuller. I felt like a shampoo ad for a few months honestly haha.
