We took a health policy last year and now im pregnant. Not sure if delivery and all the checkups are even covered, the policy wording confuses me. Anyone been through claiming for pregnancy, how did it go?
Mine covered a good part but I confirmed everything with the hospital insurance desk before admission. They tell u clearly what's covered and what's out of pocket. Definitely ask them in advance to avoid surprises.
Depends fully on ur policy. Many in India have a waiting period of 2 to 4 years for maternity cover, so check ur policy document carefully. We planned ahead because of this. Call ur insurer and ask exactly what's covered.
My corporate group policy covered maternity which was a big help, but there was a cap. Check if ur employer plan has maternity benefit, many do. Read the fine print on limits and room rent na, it matters.
