Does heart beat faster during early pregnancy?

Im 7 weeks and lately my heart feels like its racing even when im just sitting. It scared me a little na so i wanted to ask. Did anyone else feel this in early days?

Yes its common, your body is pumping more blood now. Happened in both my pregnancies, more in the early weeks. But if it comes with chest pain or breathlessness pls get checked once.

Yes ma, this happens, the heart works extra now. My mother said rest more and avoid too much tea. But always tell doctor if you feel dizzy with it.

It can be normal but I'd say dont ignore it fully. Mine was racing a lot and turned out my thyroid was off. Just mention it to your gynac at next visit to be safe.

Oh I used to panic about this all the time, kept checking my pulse haha. Doctor reassured me its just the extra blood flow. As long as you dont feel faint, its usually fine.

I felt this so much in my first month, my heart used to race even just lying down. I got scared but doc said its normal as blood volume goes up. Felt better once she explained.
