I have thyroid since before and was on tablets, now im 6 weeks pregnant. Bit worried whether it can affect the baby or cause problems. Anyone here conceived with hypothyroid, how was your experience?
Yes it can, I had hypothyroidism and my doctor adjusted my dose and tested my levels regularly. As long as its well controlled, pregnancy goes smoothly. Please dont skip your thyroid tests, that regular follow up is really the key.
My gynac explained uncontrolled thyroid can affect the pregnancy, so they keep checking TSH and adjust medicine. With proper management its totally manageable. She tested me every few weeks to stay on top of it.
I had both PCOS and thyroid so I was extra careful. Honestly regular monitoring made all the difference for me. I wouldnt promise its the same for everyone, but staying close with your doctor really helps keep things on track.
