We are starting our fertility journey and doc suggested icsi for us because of male factor issue. Honestly feeling a mix of hope and nervousness. Did it actually work better for anyone here? would love to hear real stories before we go ahead.
From what I understand it can help in certain situations but its not a magic guarantee for everyone. I wouldnt want to give you false hope. Your doctor knows your specific reports and can tell honestly if ICSI suits your case.
I totally understand the anxiety behind this question. ICSI did help many couples I know in our fertility group, but everyones path is different. Trust your doctor and be gentle with yourself, you are doing your best.
My fertility doc explained ICSI is mainly helpful when there are male factor problems, it injects one sperm straight into the egg. It can raise fertilisation chances in those cases, but it doesnt guarantee a pregnancy by itself. Your specialist is the best to say if its right for you.
We did ICSI and yes, for us it improved chances because it directly helps fertilisation, especially when sperm issues are there. But every case is different and your doctor explains success rate based on your reports. Sending you so much hope, this journey is hard but worth it.
