Does implantation bleeding happen in ectopic pregnancy?

I had very light spotting last week which i thought was implantation, but now im reading about ectopic and getting scared. Just trying to understand if the two can feel the same. Planning to ask my gynac this week but wanted to hear from others first.

My gynac explained that bleeding patterns can overlap so u really cant tell ectopic apart just by spotting. The key warning signs she told me were one sided pain, shoulder tip pain and dizziness. If any of that, go to ER fast.

I had an ectopic and honestly the bleeding can be confusing, sometimes light sometimes with sharp one-sided pain. Please dont try to figure it out from symptoms alone. Any bleeding with pain needs an urgent scan, go to your doctor.

I know this is scary to think about. The safest thing is just to get an early scan to confirm the pregnancy is in the right place. Dont sit at home guessing, beta, let the doctor reassure u properly.
