That dark line on my belly has gotten really visible now in my 7th month. Just curious if it goes away on its own after delivery or stays. Anyone whos delivered, did urs fade?
Mine is fading slowly, baby is 4 months now and its much lighter than before. It does go but it takes time, dont expect it gone in a week. Totally normal hyperpigmentation thing.
Yes it fades after delivery, usually over a few months once hormones settle. For me it took longer the second time but it did go. Sun protection on the belly helps it not get darker meanwhile.
It can hang around a bit longer while you're breastfeeding since hormones are still active, mine did. But it keeps fading the whole time. No creams needed really, just time and a little patience.
Dont worry about it, it goes away slowly after baby comes. My mom said the same and she was right. Some mild remains a little longer for a few of us but it really lightens. Nothing harmful in it.
I felt a bit self conscious about that line tbh, but my doctor said it lightens after pregnancy and mine really did over time. Hormones cause it so once they calm down, it calms down too.
