Its mango season and im 26 weeks, honestly cant stop eating them. But everytime after 2-3 pieces i get this burning in my chest. Is mango actually the reason or its just normal pregnancy heartburn? Anyone else feel this?
Mango is fine, it doesnt cause heartburn by itself. In pregnancy the acid problem is already there because of hormones, so any heavy or sweet food can trigger it. Eat a small bowl, not 3 mangoes, and you wont feel it.
Just keep the portion small. I had sugar issues so I had to watch mango anyway, and I noticed big portions gave me that burning feeling. One small katori is enough.
At my mother's place they always gave mango after a proper meal, never empty stomach. That helped my acidity. But if your heartburn is really troubling you a lot, do mention to your gynac once.
Beta mango is a hot fruit so elders always say soak it in water for some time before eating. If you get acidity, a little cold milk or some saunf after helps. But dont eat right before sleeping.
Honestly for me aamras was the WHOLE summer plan and yes thoda heartburn aata tha if I ate too much at night. Daytime was fine. Mango itself isnt bad yaar, just dont go overboard in one sitting.
