My husband keeps teasing that my nose looks bigger now lol. Im in third trimester and it does feel a bit puffy when i look in mirror. Is this an actual pregnancy thing or im imagining? Anyone else noticed this?
I totally understand how overwhelming it is to see your face and nose change in the mirror, sweetie. It's just the increased blood flow and estrogen causing that temporary swelling, and it's actually quite common. Don't worry, your beautiful face will go back to normal soon after your little miracle arrives.
It definitely does swell for many women, including me, especially in the final weeks! I used to laugh looking at my photos, but it completely went away within a couple of weeks after my normal delivery. It's just a funny little pregnancy side effect, so don't let it bother you.
Oh my god, yes, my nose grew so much in the third trimester and I panicked thinking it would stay like that forever! It is just fluid retention and hormonal swelling, but if you have sudden, massive swelling in your face or hands, please tell your doctor just to check your blood pressure.
Yes, hormonal changes and increased blood volume can definitely cause nasal swelling and even congestion. I know how every little change in your body can make you feel anxious after a long journey to get here. It is a very normal part of the process, but always feel free to mention it to your doctor for peace of mind.
Haha, yes, pregnancy nose is a real thing! I swear my swollen nose became super sensitive too, and I could smell hot jalebis from a mile away. It's just extra estrogen and blood flow, so enjoy the super-smell powers and treat yourself to some good food!
