I had a bad headache and almost took my usual painkiller, then stopped because of pregnancy. I am 11 weeks and scared about taking any tablet. Should I always check with gynac first?
My doctor said one common one is generally okay in normal dose but others like the anti inflammatory ones she told me to fully avoid. So it really depends which painkiller. Always ask before taking.
Dont just pop a painkiller from the medical shop yaar. A few are considered safer in pregnancy and some are a strict no. Only take what your doctor specifically tells u, that's the safe rule.
I got so worried once because I took a tablet before knowing I was pregnant. My gynac calmed me down and said it was fine that one time. But now I dont take anything without asking her first.
I kept my gynac's number saved and just messaged her whenever I had body pain or headache. Takes two minutes and way better than guessing. Dont self medicate during these months.
Some painkillers are really not safe in pregnancy, especially certain ones in later months. Please dont take any on your own. Even for a headache I always called my gynac first to ask what's okay.
