I have pcos since years and finally conceived after a long struggle. someone told me the symptoms calm down once ur pregnant. is that actually true or does it come back later? would love to hear ur experiences.
I conceived through ivf and also have pcos, so I understand the hope behind this question. It doesnt cure it sadly, but pregnancy is absolutely possible and many of us have healthy babies. Just follow your doctor closely and be kind to yourself, you have already come so far.
Beta dont expect it to vanish, but dont lose heart either. Plenty of women with pcos have smooth pregnancies. Just keep your follow ups regular and eat well, your doctor will guide you through it.
No it doesnt go away, its managed not cured. During pregnancy some symptoms quiet down but it returns later. Keep your sugar and diet in check since pcos can raise gd risk, my doctor was strict about that and it helped.
I have pcos too and got pregnant after a while of trying. From what my doctor said, pregnancy doesnt cure pcos, but some symptoms can ease during these months because of the hormonal changes. It usually comes back after delivery though. Just stay on top of your checkups, pcos pregnancies need a little extra monitoring.
My gynac explained pcos is a long term hormonal condition, so it doesnt go away with pregnancy. Sometimes the symptoms feel better temporarily. But she watches pcos moms a bit more closely for things like gestational diabetes and bp, so dont skip those tests.
