I have pcos and conceived after a long struggle and treatment. Someone told me pregnancy can sort of reset things and pcos improves after. Is that true for anyone here, or do the symptoms come back later?
Sadly no, it doesnt just poof away with pregnancy yaar, I have it too. But honestly managing it gets routine after a while, dont stress. Just keep your gynac in the loop and stay on track with the lifestyle stuff.
From my experience PCOS doesnt fully go away, it is a long term thing. Pregnancy and some weight stuff can change symptoms for a while, but it usually comes back after. I would not count on it disappearing, just keep managing it with your doctor.
My gynac explained PCOS is a hormonal condition that pregnancy doesnt cure, though periods stop during it obviously. Some women notice symptoms ease for some time after delivery, others dont. She said the main thing is managing weight and lifestyle long term.
It doesnt really go away, it is more of a manageable condition. Some symptoms can settle for a bit, but it is best to keep up follow ups even after baby. Your doctor can guide on diet and tests going forward.
I have PCOS and conceived through treatment, and no, it didnt vanish after. It is still something I look after. Pregnancy is wonderful but PCOS care continues, please stay in touch with your doctor about it.
