Does pregnancy affect breastfeeding?

I just found out im pregnant again and im still feeding my 1 year old. My MIL keeps saying milk will dry up now. Did anyone go through this, does being pregnant really change ur supply?

I tandem fed actually, fed my elder one through the pregnancy. It can cause some cramping for some moms so do mention it to your gynac, especially if you have any risk history.

Please ask your doctor first. In some pregnancies they advise stopping nursing because the contractions it triggers can be a concern. Better to get a green signal based on your own case.

It can change supply and taste of milk a bit, totally normal. But yes confirm with doc.

If you mean getting pregnant while still feeding the older one, yes it can. My milk supply dipped a bit and the latch felt different to my toddler. Some kids self wean around then. I just kept feeding and stayed extra nourished.
