Been feeling this tightness in my chest on and off, mostly after eating. Im 28 weeks. It worries me a bit so i wanted to ask if this is something others felt too before i mention to my gynac.
My doctor said heartburn and the pressure as the uterus grows can feel like chest discomfort, which is common. But she clearly told me genuine chest pain or shortness of breath is a red flag to call immediately. So know the difference and dont hesitate to ring them.
I used to feel chest burning a lot but it was acid reflux, not real chest pain. Small meals and staying upright helped me. But if it is sharp pain and not burning, definitely get it checked by your gynac.
Mild chest discomfort from acidity or the growing belly can happen, but real chest pain should never be ignored. Please tell your doctor if you feel actual pain, breathlessness or pressure. I always say err on the safe side with anything in the chest.
Often it is just acidity, which is very common in pregnancy. But please dont brush off real chest pain. If it feels serious or comes with breathlessness, call your doctor right away.
