Me and my husband are both a bit worried about this. Im in second trimester and feeling fine but we keep stopping ourselves thinking it might harm the baby. Curious what others experienced.
In a normal healthy pregnancy its generally safe, baby is well protected inside. The baby cant be poked or hurt, dont worry. But if u have spotting or any complication, ask ur gynac first.
I felt scared about this too, but my gynac reassured me baby is safe inside the fluid and cant be harmed. Once she explained it I felt much calmer about it.
For me doc had said to avoid it because I had some bleeding and a low placenta. So it really depends on ur situation, please dont decide on general advice, check with ur own doctor.
Dont stress, the baby is sealed off and protected, it doesnt affect the baby in a healthy pregnancy. Just listen to ur body and if anything feels off, check with the gynac.
Mostly its fine if the pregnancy is uncomplicated. Doctors usually say its ok unless there is a specific reason like placenta issue or bleeding history. Best to confirm with ur own gynac about ur case.
