Does spotting occur in early pregnancy?

I saw some light pink when i wiped today and i immediately panicked. Im only around 5 weeks and this is my first pregnancy so everything scares me. Is a little spotting normal in the start or should i rush to the doctor?

I had light spotting around the time my period was due and I felt so scared. My doctor said it can be implantation and it was fine. But honestly I am glad I called her instead of guessing, it gave me peace.

Yes light spotting can happen early and is often nothing serious. But there is a difference between a little spotting and actual bleeding or pain. Any time you spot, just inform your gynac so she can decide, dont sit on it.

Some spotting is common but please dont assume it is always harmless. In my case it needed checking and rest. If it is heavy, with cramps or red blood, call your doctor straight away.

I panicked over every little spot in my early weeks, so I get it. Light spotting does happen to many. The thing that helped me was just calling the doctor instead of googling at 2am, please do that.
