Does staying active during pregnancy help with labor?
I am trying to walk daily but some days I feel lazy and guilty. My aunt says active moms have easier labor, but I dont know if it is true. Did walking or prenatal yoga help anyone?
My gynac gave me the green light for light yoga and daily walks, and I'm sticking to it. I feel more energetic and less stiff. I'm hoping it helps with labor endurance. But definitely check with your doctor first on what exercises are right for you.
It totally helps, darling. Not just physically, but mentally too. When you feel strong and capable, it translates into confidence for labor. You're doing great by even thinking about this, keep up the good work for yourself and baby.
My husband always tells his patients that staying reasonably active is key. It helps with muscle tone and endurance, both important for labor. Just avoid anything too strenuous or risky, and always clear it with your own doctor first. Don't push yourself too hard.
Yes, my mother-in-law also always said to keep moving during pregnancy, but not too much, just gentle things. My doctor also advised daily walks. It's good for the blood flow and keeps you flexible. Trust your doctor's advice on what kind of activity is best for you.
Most pregnancy apps actually have sections on antenatal exercises and their benefits for labor. My app suggested brisk walking and prenatal yoga. It really made a difference in how I felt overall. Just make sure the activities are approved by your gynac based on your health.
Yaar, I just delivered last month, and honestly, the walks really helped me. My labor was still long, but I felt like I had the stamina to push. My gynac also encouraged it a lot, said it prepares your body. Just listen to your body signals.
Yes, it does. Regular, moderate activity strengthens your core and improves stamina, which are crucial during labor. Consult your doctor on what's safe for you, but generally, staying mobile is beneficial.
Oh absolutely! 🥰 I tried to walk daily, even if it was just for 20-30 mins. It made me feel so much better and yes, my delivery was pretty smooth. It definitely helps open up your pelvis a bit. Good luck, you got this! ✨
Haan yaar, active rehna toh accha hai. Meri doc ne bola tha ki walk karne se thoda muscles relax hote hain. Bas overdo mat karna, aur stress mat lo itna, sab theek ho jayega. Listen to your body, ok?
Definitely! I had a normal delivery and I truly believe staying active helped a lot. Not just for labor but even recovering afterwards. Just light walks and some gentle stretches, that's what I did. It keeps you strong.
