Im in my first trimester and going through a lot of stress at home and work both. Cant seem to switch off my mind. Does all this tension actually affect the baby? feeling guilty about it tbh.
Some tension is unavoidable, dont expect to be calm 24/7. But yes, ongoing high stress can affect your sleep, BP and appetite, which indirectly affects baby. Try to offload work, rest more and dont carry everything alone.
Beta try to keep your heart light as much as you can. I used to do a little prayer and listen to calm bhajans when my mind raced, it settled me. Stress is natural but dont let it sit on you, share it and breathe.
Mild stress is fine, but if you're feeling anxious all the time or it affects your sleep and eating, please mention it to your doctor. With my pregnancy they kept an eye on my BP because stress was raising it. Your mental health matters as much as the physical part.
Yes it can, especially if you're juggling work like I was. I learned to cut my to do list in half and actually take my lunch break properly. Realistically you cant remove all stress, just manage it in small ways and dont skip rest.
First of all, feeling tense in pregnancy is so normal, dont beat yourself up over it. A little stress is okay, but constant heavy stress isnt great for you or baby long term. What helped me was talking it out and small breathing breaks, and telling my gynac how I felt, she was very supportive.
