We are trying since almost a year now and last month my report showed slightly high TSH. My gynac put me on a small tablet but nobody really explained if the thyroid itself is the reason we are not conceiving. Anyone here who had thyroid issue and still got pregnant, pls share.
My gynac explained that both high and low thyroid can mess with ovulation, so they like to keep TSH in a good range before conceiving. She got my levels tested first and adjusted the dose. Once it was stable things moved smoothly for me.
Dont worry too much about it. Thyroid is super common and easily controlled with one tiny tablet. Just get tested and stay regular with the doctor, you will be fine.
Yes thyroid can affect conceiving and pregnancy, but the good news is its very manageable. I had thyroid and once my levels were controlled with medicine I conceived. Just get your TSH checked and keep regular follow up with your doctor.
I had both pcos and thyroid, so I know the confusion. What helped me was getting everything checked properly before trying. Please dont self diagnose, just see a gynac and get the blood tests done.
