Does urinary tract infection affect conceiving?

I keep getting UTIs every couple of months and we are trying for a baby now. Started wondering if these repeated infections are coming in the way of conceiving. Anyone with similar experience?

I had repeated UTIs and my doctor said it is better to treat and clear it before trying. An untreated infection can cause discomfort and complications. Please get it sorted with your gynac first.

I wouldnt want to scare you, a one time UTI treated properly is usually fine. But recurring ones do need attention. Honestly let the doctor check and clear it before you focus on conceiving.

Best is to treat the UTI fully first, drink lots of water, and then try with a clear system. I always tell people not to ignore burning pee. Quick checkup helps a lot.
