Noticed my pee looking a bit darker yellow these days, im 14 weeks. Not sure if its the prenatal vitamins or something to do with pregnancy itself. did anyone notice a change in colour?
Slight change is usually nothing, but if you see pink, red or it burns when you go, please get a urine test done. I had a UTI in pregnancy and that needs treating quickly. Better safe with your gynac.
Mostly it changes because of less water or the supplements, not the pregnancy itself. I noticed mine got darker on days I didnt drink enough. Keep your water up and it sorts out.
It can look a bit darker sometimes, my doc said the vitamins and iron tablets can make it more yellow or even slightly different. As long as you are drinking enough water it usually stays normal light yellow. If it ever looks reddish or very dark she said tell her immediately.
I noticed it most on busy work days when I forgot to drink water. Keep a bottle on your desk and sip through the day, sorted. If it stays dark even after hydrating then mention it at your next visit.
