I get these itchy red hives on and off since before pregnancy and now im in my 5th month. Im worried if it can affect the baby in any way. Has anyone dealt with urticaria while pregnant?
Hives can pop up in pregnancy because of all the hormone changes yaar, quite common actually. Mostly it doesnt harm the baby but it is super itchy. Still, show your gynac so she can tell you whats safe to use, dont pick random creams.
I had some skin issues plus thyroid during my pregnancy and the itching drove me mad. My doc kept a close watch and adjusted things. With anything like urticaria I would say get it checked properly and do regular follow up, dont self treat.
Please be a little careful with this. Sometimes itching can be linked to other things in pregnancy that need attention. I would not ignore it, get it looked at by your doctor to be safe.
