At my 20 week scan they wrote placenta is low lying and told me not to worry it may shift up later. I didnt fully understand how it just moves on its own. Did this happen for anyone, did urs move up by the later scans?
Yes my gynac told me the placenta can appear to move up as the uterus grows, especially if it was low lying early on. She said many low placentas shift up by later scans, so dont panic if early scan shows it low. They recheck on the next scan to confirm.
Mine was low lying initially and I was so worried, but by the growth scan it had moved up. The doctor kept a close watch though. If urs is low, just follow ur gynac's advice on rest and avoid heavy work.
My scan said placenta is a bit low and I got really anxious reading about it. The doc said it usually moves up, fingers crossed. Did anyone else have low placenta that corrected later?
