First trimester and the smell of food itself is putting me off, i just dont feel like eating anything. Im worried baby is not getting enough na. Is this normal in early weeks, how did u all manage?
I felt exactly like this in my first trimester, the thought of food made me sick. Small bites of whatever you can tolerate, like dry toast, crackers or fruit, is better than nothing. But if you cant keep down even water, please tell your gynac, that needs help.
I felt so guilty for not eating, worrying about the baby, but it does pass. I survived on small things like lemon water and biscuits in those weeks. Be gentle with yourself, it gets better in the second trimester.
Loss of appetite is really common early on, dont force big meals. Eat little and often, even just a few bites every couple of hours. If it's severe and you're losing weight or vomiting a lot though, get it checked.
Dont panic about it, your body knows and the baby takes what it needs for now. Just try small sips and bites of anything that appeals. If it goes on long or you feel very weak, do let your doctor know.
