Just found out im pregnant and its my first time, im honestly clueless. Everyone at ghar is giving different advice na. Can someone list the main things to avoid in these early weeks?
During this precious time, it's important to nurture your body and soul. Avoid anything that feels harmful, like excessive stress or negative thoughts. Eat clean, stay hydrated, and keep a positive outlook. Focus on gratitude and taking gentle care of yourself and the little one.
Oh god, the first trimester was such a blur of dos and don'ts, right? I was constantly worried about what to eat or not to eat. Did you guys also feel like you were walking on eggshells all the time? I mostly avoided alcohol, raw foods, and heavy lifting.
Generally, during the first trimester, it's best to avoid alcohol, smoking, and recreational drugs completely. Also, stay away from unpasteurized dairy, raw or undercooked meats/fish, and certain high-mercury fish. Heavy exercise or lifting heavy things is also a no-no. Just be mindful of medications too, always check with your gynac.
It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed by all the "don'ts" in the first trimester, trust me, I was there! My anxiety was at its peak. The main ones are definitely no smoking/alcohol, no raw foods, and try to keep stress low. Just focus on being gentle with yourself.
I felt like the first trimester was all about being super careful. I stopped drinking coffee completely and made sure to cook all my food really well. My gynac stressed avoiding any kind of medication without asking her first. It was a time of pure excitement but also so much caution.
