How accurate are pregnancy tests after 2 weeks?

i tested with a home kit about 2 weeks after we tried and it showed positive, but honestly i cant fully believe it yet. at this point are these tests usually reliable or should i retest? want to be sure before telling family.

I tested around that time and it was clearly positive, then doc confirmed. Did you use morning urine? That made the line way clearer for me when I tested too early it was faint.

I took like three tests because I didnt trust the first, classic me. By 2 weeks they're genuinely accurate though. If you're still doubting, just do a blood test and put your mind at peace, that's what finally calmed me.

My doctor said by the time you've missed your period the home kit is very reliable if used correctly. Testing too early gives false negatives because hCG is still low. So 2 weeks post conception is usually a good accurate window.
